Emails often have attached to them files. Viruses often use these files to hide themselves. MailWall offers many levels of
protection from these types of viruses. This particular feature involves MailWall scanning the attached file to
determine what type of file it is. Should this scanning show that the file is of a type which is often used
to hide viruses, it will be stopped form reaching you. A few examples of file types which MailWall will prevent
from reaching you include:

self-extracting archives

movies

Windows Registry entries

If such an email is quarantined, you will be notified of this fact.
You then have the option of releasing this email from the quarantine - done through this control
panel - bearing in mind that to do so may compromise the security of your PC.

This feature is turned on by default for your account. You have the option of turning this feature off,
though We would recommend that you do not do this as to do so would reduce the level of virus protection
which MailWall currently offers on your account.
