FTP (<i>File Transfer Protocol</i>) users are users which have permission to add and remove pages from your website.
You can set up numerous FTP users on your account, and give each one permission over various parts of your website.
In this way, a,n FTP user may be given permission to add and remove pages from a particular folder on your website and
yet will be unable to alter pages in any other part of the website.

Each FTP user's permission is based on their 'Home Directory'. Anything outside this home directory cannot be altered by
the FTP user.<BR><BR>
The <i>htdocs</i> folder is the main container for your website i.e. all your website pages are inside this htdocs folder.
Because of this, every FTP user you create will have permission to access either the htdocs folder itself or some sub folder
inside the htdocs folder.
