Your account is allocated an amount of space, the size of this allowance being dependent on the type of account you have.
Space may be taken up by a number of different parts of your account:

Website - Each page and picture you put on your website increases the amount of space taken up by your account.
You can reduce your space usage by removing unwanted files and by not using your website as a place to keep backups of important files.

Website logs - Each time someone visits your website a record of this visit is kept. If your website is very popular
you might find that your logs are taking up a lot of space.

Mailboxes - Each time you download emails from your email account, you are taking the email from the
equivalent of your 'mailbox'. Now, you can set up your PC so that, once an email has been downloaded, it is deleted
from your mailbox. Alternatively, you can leave a copy of the email in your mailbox. Doing the latter can dramatically
increase your space usage. Also, should you receive emails with large attachments, this would also increase your space usage.

Webmail folders - When you look at your emails using webmail you can create folders to store your emails.
Each folder and the emails therein take up space. One common way that a lot of space can be freed up on your account
is to make sure that you purge your Trash folder before you log out. This is because when you delete an email in
webmail, the email is not in fact deleted, but instead is placed in your Trash folder.

Spam Trap - Your spam trap (if you have one set up) holds the spam emails which would otherwise have been sent to you.
Each week you should get an email summarising the contents of your spam trap. By replying to this email you will empty
your spam trap. You would be advised to regularly empty your spam trap, as a large spam trap can consume a large portion of
your alloted space.
