Sometimes, you don't want everyone to have access to a part of your website unless you have authorised them.
In this case what you want is to <i>password protect</i> a part of your website. <BR><BR>
The part of your website you protect is up to you. All you do is choose the folder (directory) you want to protect.
Once created, if someone wants to access anything within this folder (whether it be another folder or a web page), they
will need to have a username and password.<BR><BR>
So, where do you get the usernames and passwords? Once you have created the password protection through your control panel 
you will be able to add and delete users and to reset a user's password.
